(Philadelphia, PA) – Starting at 8am on Saturday, May 19th over 400 pullers will hit the tarmac at Atlantic Aviation to see which team can pull a hefty airplane with the fastest time – all to benefit the families served by the local Philadelphia Ronald McDonald House. This year’s Plane Pull® includes 20 teams from organizations including Aberdeen Wealth Management, Philadelphia Marketplace Food & Shops, the Boeing Company, Thomas Reuters, Philadelphia Insurance Companies, Morphotek, Guava & Java, the DoubleTree by Hilton Philadelphia-Valley Forge, Permalith Plastics, Zurich Insurance Group, Keenan Auto Body, and UPS. Sean Brace from 97.5 The Fanatic will MC the event and Ronald McDonald will even be on hand to lead each team’s pre-pull workout.
The Philadelphia Ronald McDonald Houses will host this event, in partnership with Philly Jet Service and Atlantic Aviation, and all of the proceeds raised ($2,500 per team) go to support their mission of providing temporary lodging and supportive services to families while their children receive critical medical care.

The Philadelphia Ronald McDonald House supports families of seriously ill children by creating a community of comfort and hope. Our organization operates two houses on Chestnut Street and Front & Erie as well as the Ronald McDonald Camp in the Poconos which offers oncology patients and their siblings the opportunity to take part in a one week summer camp. We also operate two Ronald McDonald Family Rooms at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia which provides a comfortable space for families away from their children’s bedside.
