Martin Phillips, M.D.

Senior Vice President of Clinical Development, Chief Medical Officer

Martin D. Phillips, M.D. has been responsible for the clinical development of biological products in both the U.S. and overseas. Prior to joining Morphotek, he was the VP of Clinical R&D (Americas) at Aventis Behring and responsible for clinical development of biologics across all therapeutic areas. Before that, Dr. Phillips held various positions in medical affairs with both national and international responsibilities.

Dr. Phillips is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Hematology and has a strong background in clinical medicine, having served as an Assistant and Associate Professor of Hematology on the faculty of Baylor College of Medicine and the University of Texas (Houston) medical schools. He has experience conducting grant-funded basic research, holds patents related to biological therapies, and has authored over 30 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters.

Dr. Phillips received his M.D. from Wayne State University, and completed his post-doctoral training at Baylor College of Medicine.
